Director Stanley Donen signed her, as a 17-year-old, to appear as Michael Caine's love interest in the romantic comedy film Blame It on Rio. The movie was notable as Johnson's first starring role and for her many topless scenes and one full-frontal nude scene. Johnson appeared in a number of roles over the next fifteen years. She appeared in theatrical films, television movies and television series (including a recurring role for one season of The Love Boat). Johnson made no movie nor television acting appearances from 2000 through 2003, one movie in 2004, and has not been seen since. [edit] Personal life Johnson was born in Anchorage, Alaska to a homemaker mother and a psychologist father.[1] Her family moved to Southern Arizona, and she attended high school there during 1981 through 1984, graduating one semester early in January 1984. She was preparing to engage in a modeling career when she was spotted in Phoenix, Arizona, and signed up to work as an actress on Blame It on Rio instead. From January 1999 through July 2002, Johnson was married to Major League Baseball player Matt Williams, of the Phoenix based Arizona Diamondbacks.[2][3] Johnson sold her house in West Hollywood, California in April, 2009, for a reported sum of $4.1 million. The house was located near the Sunset Strip in a celebrity-populated neighborhood.[4]
